Booking a Counselling Session
The Counselling Process
Step 1: FREE Consultation - 20 Min
The main goal of a counselling consultation is to assess compatibility and provide an overview of the counselling process. In order for counselling to be successful, it is imperative that the relationship between counsellor and client is trusting and collaborative. A consult provides an opportunity for you to ask any questions you have about the counselling process, my credentials, and the frameworks I work from. As well, it provides you as the client an opportunity to assess whether my skills and expertise align with your needs.
Step 2: Intake Session $160 - 90 Min
The intake session is a key first step in the counselling process, helping us lay the foundation for our work together. During this session, we’ll review the consent and intake forms, explore what brought you here, and discuss what you’d like to get out of counselling, so we can shape a plan that feels meaningful and tailored to you.
Step 3: Regular Sessions $135 - 50 Min
The focus of each regular session will shift depending on the concerns at hand. We’ll review any strategies or reflections you explored outside of session, consider your progress toward goals, and incorporate a variety of therapeutic methods suited to your unique situation. You can learn more about my approach on the Services tab.
