My Story

From an early age, I often felt like I was watching life from the sidelines, studying how others seemed to move through it with such ease. Over time, adapting to my surroundings began to feel safer than risking being seen or getting it wrong.

The only time I got to be a little more myself was in drama class. Stepping into a character allowed me to be expressive and expansive in ways that didn’t always feel accessible in everyday life. Looking back, I can see how naturally we learn to shape ourselves to fit our environments, often setting aside parts of who we are in order to belong.

After university, I reached a point where the gap between how I was living and how I felt internally became harder to ignore. I began questioning the beliefs and expectations I had absorbed over time, especially the quiet assumption that there was a universal “right” way to be.

Spending time in different countries and cultural contexts throughout my 20s broadened that perspective. I came to understand that fulfillment isn’t found in meeting external standards, but in living in alignment with values that genuinely feel like your own.

That shift brought clarity. What once felt like personal inadequacy began to make sense as adaptation. I could see these patterns as strategies shaped by context, relationships, and the deep human need for connection and acceptance.

When the pandemic put a pause on my career in hospitality and events, it created space to reflect on the direction I wanted to move in. It became clear that I was most drawn to supporting others in understanding themselves more deeply, particularly the patterns that once helped them navigate their world but may no longer feel aligned.

Today, my work is grounded in curiosity rather than correction. I approach counselling by centering your lived experience and exploring the relational patterns, beliefs, and survival strategies that shape how you move through life.

In the counselling room with me, you won’t be met with assumptions or agendas. Instead, our work will focus on understanding your world as you experience it so you can move toward greater clarity and self-trust.

It would be an honour to walk alongside you in your journey.
