My Story
I have always taken a bit of a philosophical lens to life, remaining deeply curious about what lies beneath the surface… of people, of myself, and of life.
Long before I became a counsellor, I found myself wondering why people think the way they do, why certain experiences stay with us, and why two people can live through something similar yet experience it so differently. I notice subtley’s, ask a lot of questions, and (much to some of my clients dismay in the beginning lol) I'm rarely satisfied with surface-level explanations.
Over time, that curiosity turned inward.
Like many people, I spent years adapting to my environment rather than asking who I actually was beneath those adaptations. Looking back, I can see that many of the patterns I once judged were, in fact, intelligent ways my nervous system had learned to navigate relationships, uncertainty, and belonging.
That realization changed everything.
I stopped asking, "What's wrong with me?" and started asking, "What makes sense about this?"
It was a shift from correction to understanding.
Traveling, working in hospitality, and eventually stepping into counselling all deepened that perspective. Each experience reinforced the same belief: people make sense when we understand the context they're living in.
Today, that's the foundation of my work.
I don't see counselling as helping people become someone different. I see it as creating space to become more deeply acquainted with who they've been all along—beneath the expectations, survival strategies, and stories they've had to carry.
If we work together, you won't find someone rushing toward answers or trying to fit you into a framework. You'll find someone who is genuinely interested in understanding your experience, trusting that clarity often emerges not from fixing ourselves, but from finally being deeply understood.
